Returns
Deliveries Returned to Us
Occasionally a hamper will be returned to us for one of the following reasons:
- There was no response from the recipient to arrange re-delivery
- The recipient is not available at that address or has moved out
- Address details are incorrect or insufficient
- The recipient was in a hospital or hotel and has been discharged or checked out
If a parcel has an incorrect address, our couriers are unable to call the recipient to verify, and instead the parcel will be returned to us.
Hampers cannot be re-directed while in transit and will need to be returned to us before being sent to the new/correct address.
We will inform you via email within one week of the hamper being returned to us.
An applicable re-delivery fee will be passed on to you to facilitate the delivery of the hamper to the same or an alternative address.
Due to the perishable nature of our hampers, orders returned to us for any of the reasons mentioned above cannot be cancelled and refunded.
Returns, Cancellations and Refunds
If you have any queries or concerns with the hamper(s) you have sent or received, please email info@thehamperstory.com.
In the event that your hamper or its contents arrive damaged or faulty, we will happily replace, exchange or issue a credit depending on the extent of the damage.
We will require photos so that we can better understand the extent of the damage or issues with the product.
If it is necessary for the product to be sent back to us due to damage or being faulty, we will email you a return label to cover the cost of the shipping/courier.
We will not be able to replace, exchange or issue a credit for any product that has been dispatched for more than 24 hours.
Please note that refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used to buy the hamper.
Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been prepared and are with our couriers for delivery.
Orders can be cancelled prior to the scheduled delivery date; however, a 50% cancellation fee will apply to the total order value.
Purchase of Alcohol
The Hamper Story supports the responsible service of alcohol. It is an offence to supply alcohol to or obtain alcohol on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years. Liquor Licence L/LL/013792/2025/P.
If ordering hampers containing alcohol, you confirm that you are over the age of 18 years. It is a legal requirement that both the person placing the order and the person receiving the delivery are over the age of 18.
Other Terms
- By placing an order through our site or on the telephone, you warrant that:
- You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
How the contract is formed between you and The Hamper Story Pte Ltd:
a) After placing an online order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging receipt. This does not mean your order has been accepted. The contract is formed only when the items are delivered.
b) Subject to stock availability, items may be replaced with alternatives upon your confirmation. If replacement is not possible, you will have the option to cancel and receive a refund.
c) You must make full payment using the selected payment method at checkout.
d) We may provide links to third-party websites but cannot guarantee the quality of their products.
- We warrant that any product purchased from our site is of satisfactory quality.
- Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.
- Unless otherwise stated, product warranties are covered by the respective brand owner.

- A waiver of default does not constitute a waiver of future defaults.
- Any waiver must be in writing.
- Any fresh items should be consumed within 3 days unless stated otherwise.
- Props used in product photography are not included unless specified in the item list.
Price and Payment
- Prices are as quoted on the site, except in cases of obvious error.
- If a pricing error occurs:
- If the correct price is lower, you will be charged the lower amount
- If the correct price is higher, we may contact you or cancel the order
- We are not obligated to supply products at incorrect prices even after confirmation.
Force Majeure Event
We are not liable for delays or failure caused by events beyond our control (“Force Majeure Event”).
These include:
- Strikes or industrial action
- Riots, war, or terrorism
- Natural disasters
- Transport disruptions
- Telecommunications failures
- Government actions or restrictions
During such events, obligations are suspended and timelines extended.
Entire Agreement
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between both parties.
- Neither party relies on prior representations not included here.
- Remedies apply only for breach of contract unless fraud is involved.
- Policies in force at the time of order apply unless legally required changes occur.
Law and Jurisdiction
Contracts are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Singapore courts.
Our Right to Vary These Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
